Tony Robinson believes he is the only self-confessed "middle-age" guy in show business. Born in Indiana when Harry Truman was still president, he started his show biz career as a professional drummer at the age of twelve and for the following seventeen years, he learned how to please an audience. In college he was asked to make a comic presentation for class. The performance was so successful that he was asked to repeat it every year for the next seven years (even after he had left the venerable institution). In fact, that performance led to him receiving a position as an undergraduate teaching assistant. After a short and annoying stint in public administration, Tony moved into local radio. Soon, he was recruited by Group W Westinghouse Broadcasting. There he learned how to entertain with just the spoken word. With 50,000 watts at his disposal, Robinson was soon receiving letters and photos from his wide audience which stretched along the eastern seaboard and even into Europe. Tony Robinson moved to California in 1981 and within three years was a national headliner on the comedy circuit. His humor has taken him across the U.S. and around the world. He was the first American comic to be invited back to Denmark by the Carlsberg corporation for their comedy tour. He has appeared with Rosie O'Donnell on VH-1, and is a regular cast member on the nationally syndicated "Tom Joyner Morning Show." Tony's comedy is heartfelt, intelligent and honest. The humor is fresh, as he looks at the world through the eyes of a "baby boomer." Covering everything from teenagers to politics. Tony presents a point of view that comes from having "lived a few years." His humor cuts across all barriers. Younger crowds see him as the
