Ken Block started his career in 1978 in Houston, Texas.
His warm personality shines through his stand-up performance which always keeps his
audiences pleading for more. In short order he was performing in television and in
corporate events for some of the largest companies in the country.
His remarkable impressions have him working on both coasts doing the voices of endless celebrities such as Rodney Dangerfield, Cary Grant, Jimmy Carter, Johnny Carson, Archie & Edith Bunker, John Lennon, Groucho Marx, Presidents Reagan, Bush and Clinton, Mohammed Ali, Jay Leno, Woody Allen and countless more.
Ken's parents have always been very supportive
of his career choice. When he told them that he had become a doctor, they were
thrilled. They just never thought he would be Dr. Phil and Dr. Ruth all in
the same evening.
In addition to the entertainment industry, Ken Block also had aspirations of
becoming a professional baseball player. After being scouted by the New
York Yankees, he attended college in Florida to pursue his dream.
Somewhere along the way he noticed that not only were the girls
attracted to the many athletes on campus, they really liked the one guy
on stage doing impressions! Good-bye baseball, hello comedy!
Ken Block has become one of the most versatile comic impressionists on the
scene today. His state of the art one man show has audiences on their
feet laughing and cheering, as he performs in venues as varied as
theatres, cruise ships, corporate events and showrooms from Hawaii to
Atlantic City. With more than 100 impressions in each show, spanning
more than 50
years of singers, comedians, politicians and show business luminaries,
his universally received performances have something for everyone.
